Ideas Generation
To begin with our group got an A3 sized piece of paper and we collected our thoughts and put them down on paper in order to get a clearer picture of what we want to do. We collected all the relevant information we needed such as deadlines, technical resources, budget, market research data, etc. so that we now know what we need to focus on and what further information we need to gather.
Initial plans and proposals
Our idea for the Lynx 'Attract for Her' advert we want to create:
To begin with there is going to be a male character getting ready to go out and using a deodarant. Then once out he walks into a bar/club were there are a number of attractive females. The female characters then all turn to watch the male character walk in and then proceed to get up and go over to him. As they all reach him the camera cuts to a female out of shot in the background who then sprays Lynx 'Attract for Her' on herself. The female characters then all go over to the singular female character. They then all walk out as a group, as they pass by the male character they push him aside and the singular female character then leaves the Lynx can next to him and then continues to walk out with the others. The male character then looks at the Lynx can, picks it up, sniffs it and tries it for himself. Then the camera focus is pulled so that the picture is blurred, then the Lynx 'Attract for Her' can image along with a slogan come up on screen. This advertisement will primarily be aimed at young women between the age of 15 and 25, the secondary audience will just be all women in general.
Identification of overt/hidden message
We hope to widen and create a new target audience for the Lynx brand by opening the market to young females as well as young men. We hope to show that the female fragrence can bejust as successful as the male fragrence, if we succeed it will show that our target audience is open to a new Lynx brand identity and will prove that there is an untapped part of the market that Lynx could take advantage either sometime soon or in the future.
Style
Our advertisement is going to be humorous and also use sex appeal in order to sell the product.
Relevance to audience
Our advert will specifically target our audience by using sex appeal in order to gain their attention and create a disire within them to purchase the product. The humorous part of the advertisment will also make the product more appealing to the target audience, as most young people of both genders enjoy humorous content, this will make are advertisement appealing and relateable to our target audience.
Ryan,
ReplyDeleteYou have covered everything required, you just need to add a little bit more detail ion a few places:
- link legal and ethical issues to specific BCAP sections
- what will the budget be spent on?
- what message do you want the female target audience to receive?
- specifically, how will you attempt to target women?
I have awarded P2 & M2 for this task.
